Dentsu Creative India’s Cannes Lions 2024 entry: Motorola Deep Connect

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is set to be held from June 17 to 21 this year and the advertising community is busy with the process of shortlisting the best of their works and sending them out in the hope of winning the coveted Lion.

Let’s see what Dentsu is sending this year. Dentsu Creative was named Agency of the Year at Cannes in 2022. It was the first Indian agency to ever win the coveted title.

Motorola Deep Connect is an innovative solution developed by Motorola and executed by Dentsu Creative India. The technology utilises miners' existing communication infrastructure - walkie-talkies, and converts radio signals into voice calls, enabling them to connect with their families back home through smartphones. A custom module installed at the surface of coal mines makes this two-way communication possible.
