Kapur was honored with the Industry's Lifetime Achievement Award by AAAI in 2008 for his contribution to the advertising industry. Veteran advertising professional and Chairman of WPP India- Ranjan Kapur passed away in Mumbai today. Kapur was also the former Country Manager of WPP India and was replaced by CVL Srinivas in 2017. With over four decades of service in advertising, Kapur started his career with Citibank and served in senior positions at Ogilvy & Mather India Private Limited (O&M) before retiring in 2003. He was honored with the Industry's Lifetime Achievement Award from AAAI in 2008 for his contribution to the advertising industry. WPP Group companies have offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and many other cities in India. The company employs about 15,000 professionals in the country in the areas of advertising, media investment management, information, insight and consultancy, public relations, branding, direct, internet and interactive.
