Ola welcomed as many as 16 dogs in the office to celebrate International Dog Day. Earlier this year, the company announced that it is a dog-friendly workplace and, since then, the initiative has become extremely popular amongst employees. The idea of making Ola a dog-friendly workplace was taken after conducting an extensive employee survey across the organization, which saw participation in huge numbers. Employees across the board voted in favour of making Ola a pet-friendly workplace and the company decided to begin with dogs due to the majority of dog-parents in the company. All dog-parents are free to bring in their dogs whenever they want and there is no limit to the number of dogs. In the last 6 months, there has been an upward trend in participation with the number of employees bringing in their dogs increasing by 30%.
As a people-centric organization, Ola has seen the initiative boost morale, bring a sense of excitement to the floor alongside cultivate a more engaged and collaborative environment. Along with dog-parents, other employees, too, are taking advantage of the development with even the most hesitant of dog lovers welcoming the initiative.
