Godrej Protekt, a range of hand hygiene products from Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, has unveiled a campaign to celebrate Global Hand Washing Day. The video also speaks about their newly launched Protekt Mr. Magic hand wash.

When Godrej Protekt, the handwash brand, launched Mr. magic, the first-ever powder-to-liquid handwash, it didn’t just revolutionize the way India washed its hands, it reiterated Godrej Group’s good and green approach with the positive impact it has had on the environment. The film conceptualised by Creativeland Asia highlights how the products has the capability to reduce plastic consumption by half and lower carbon emissions in the environment. It also reiterates Godrej Group’s commitment towards sustainability by making it the core of operations. Their mangroves are three times the size of New York’s Central Park and 45% of energy comes from renewable sources. The Protekt Mr. Magic hand wash uses one fourth the fuel for transportation also reducing carbon emissions and uses only 1/4th the paper for transportation, saving many trees.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Mr. Sunil Kataria, CEO – India & SAARC, Godrej Consumer Products Limited, said, “Godrej Group has always pioneered the efforts towards a cleaner, greener planet. With every innovation and every development, they’ve established and followed practices that are #GoodAndGreen. Through this film, we aim to create awareness about the pressing social issue of hand hygiene. In India, hand hygiene related issues have posed a serious threat, especially among children. Mr. Magic is a disruptive product which is tough on germs, soft on hands while being environment friendly.”

Speaking about the film, Anu Joseph, Chief Creative Officer, Creativeland Asia, says, “This film in the most interesting way explains the effect Godrej’s new handwash will have not just on accessibility to hand hygiene, but also on the planet overall. The challenge was to keep the narrative visually interesting, the content is already, given the nature of this innovation. The film is a result of a great collaborative effort with the team at Godrej.”

Protekt Mr. Magic is Godrej Protekt’s solution to making handwash accessible at Rs 15, to every home in India, with its affordable price point and innovative powder to liquid format. The magic powder, when mixed with 200 ml water, turns magically into a handwash! It has changed the way consumers perceive liquid handwashes while protecting the environment in many different ways. The film is a mix of live action coupled with a lovely style of animation and depicts the positive impact Mr. Magic has had on the environment.
