realme, the fastest growing smartphone brand in India, continues its growth journey emerging 7th among global smartphone shipments, according to Counterpoint statistics in Q3, 2019. The brand has scaled up the ladder in terms of global smartphone shipment as compared to Q2, 2019 where it stood at 10th position. One of the most vital reasons behind the growth rate has been the total shipments of Q3, amounting to over 10 million globally. The brand has performed exponentially with a year-over-year growth rate of 808%, ranking 1st globally in terms of growth rate.

realme, with its “Dare to Leap” attitude, has been able to increase its global shipment, at a time when global smartphone shipments are constantly decreasing, and within just 18 months establish itself as a successful brand for youth. It’s the “Dare to Leap” features of realme products that have played a significant role to reach this commendable milestone.

Expressing delight on the achievement, realme India CEO, Madhav Sheth said, “We are overwhelmed to see the adoption of realme products at such a fast pace. Counterpoint’s data, showcasing our record of highest ever shipments and becoming the fastest growing brand registering a 6X growth as compared to last year, is a testament to the trust that our consumers have on us. We strongly believe that these numbers were driven by our attractive product specs and design-focused portfolio. ”

The Counterpoint statistics also showcased realme as the third-largest smartphone brand in India with strong sell-in into the channels ahead of the festive season in this quarter. Earlier this month, realme officially announced becoming one of the mainstream global mobile phone brands with its global users exceeding 17 million. With its strategy to enter global markets, the brand has entered over 20 markets including China, Southeast Asia, Russia, India, Europe with the whole product portfolio including flagship range with products at every price range.

The brand, which resonates with the youth globally, has also partnered with global industrial design giant Naoto Fukasawa to collaborate for many realme Master Edition products in order to inspire revolutionary smartphone designs. These editions have become very popular with great demand from consumers.

In its bid to continue its “Dare to Leap” journey, the brand had earlier announced that it would become one of the terminal manufacturers to adopt Qualcomm integrated 5G mobile platform after Qualcomm Corporation officially launched Snapdragon 7 Series 5G mobile platform.
