Senior journalist and editorial leader Shamsher Singh is set to join Network18 as Group Consulting Editor, according to highly placed sources.

Singh, known for his in-depth reporting and incisive analysis, brings over two decades of experience to the role.

Singh is a highly experienced journalist with a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the Indian media industry, marked by his expertise in political journalism and editorial management.

He began his journey with Aaj Tak as a Reporter where he built a strong foundation in political reporting. He won Ramnath Goenka Award for excellence in journalism.

He then served as Political Editor at India TV where he gained recognition for his insightful coverage and deep understanding of political affairs.

Singh later joined Zee Media and launched its channel Zee Hindustan, where he played a crucial role in shaping the channel's editorial direction.

He then moved to Republic Bharat as Managing Editor and was instrumental in driving impactful news coverage and editorial strategies.

After Republic Bharat, he again joined Zee Media as Managing Editor (cluster two channels - Zee Hindustan & 8 Regional channels including all its digital properties).

Most recently, he held the position of Editor-in-Chief at India Daily Live, where he was responsible for overseeing content strategy and editorial policies.
