Sharp air: Now premium air-purifiers

sharpSharp, the manufacturers of electronics durables – television sets, music systems copier, fax machines, printers, microwaves, washing machines etc, has forayed into electronic indoor air-treatment for homes and cars, using plasmacluster technology. As against liquid filled purifiers, Sharp purifiers use negative and positive ions to “kill harmful substances like pollen dust, allergens, virus, mould, gases and fould smell not just from the air but also from surfaces”. A Plasmacluster Ion Air Purifer for a room, while comes at a price of Rs 14,990, the gadget for a car would cost Rs 11,990. A gadget for larger enclosures like offices, restaurants, theatres and big showrooms would cost Rs 57,990, and would be available across all Sharp retail outlets, Reliance Autozone and Vijay Sales. Sunil K Sinha, Managing Director of Sharp Business Systems (India), says, “Products equipped with Plasmacluster Technology has crossed more than four crore units worldwide. Plasmacluster technology is the blessing for those suffering from respiratory and chronic diseases to give their immune system rest while they are indoors so that they can enjoy when they are outside.” Sharp Business Systems India claims to have a current turnover of Rs 400 crore.
